No. A bad transmission can stall the engine.

Hello you will absolutely have to have service on your transmission you will have a scan completed to determine what the problem is with out a system scan it is only a guess.Usual garages can charge fro $25.00 up to $75.00 but with this technology no missing.

Check the fluid level first.

change the fluid/filter asap,poss low viscosity.(oil worn out)

your car is going in "limp" mode,
the computer is seeing a problem with a sensor on the transmission,so it won't up shift because it doesn't know how fast your going.
check the speed sensor,the input sensor,and the output sensor.one of these is not working correctly,
it will help when you have the car checked for codes,look for history codes section.
cycling the key resets the soft code but it will always return until repaired.

check your paperwork from the person who installed your trans. should be under warranty depending on where you went. bring it back to them

Not likely a computer glitch. I would not ignore this warning. Have it looked at by a professional.
