I have a 2000 Chevrolet s10 4x4, I just recently changed out my transmission and it drove fine until I drove approximately 30 miles and my speed odometer started fluctuating and it started down shifting and the abs light came on. It drives fine for a short distance a few miles but over 30 begins the same thing.

When you work with such problems make sure you change your seal's oil leaks and give smoke cos' it is leaking through. Make a real engine overall.

what is the code coming up.? you can take it to a parts store and have it scanned for free. I bet the garage may knock something off or forget to plug something back it

professional software to get retrieve them

Check for codes as we all have since 1981

It might work short term, but it sounds like the overdrive might almost be out of your truck.

Check for problems with the Vehicle speed sensor on the transmission.

Sounds like a fuel pump problem or the cam or crank sensor are starting to go hope this helps ya out or gets ya started on the right path good luck

Not sure but you may be having problems with your oil pump

doing it your self is guessing
autozone and others do the code reading for free
at this point I would be checking the wires and connections as that distance after installing would be about right for a connection not put together properly would fall apart or a harness wire would burn through on the exhaust

put a transmission line cooler on it
