It looks difficult, but its not..Just have a good flashlight, and make sure you have a diagram ready..If not, get a sheet of paper, and draw it out how you see it, before you take the belt off. Make sure you put the pulleys in the right place...and just take your time...Goodluck..

2003 Mitsubishi Galant Idler Belt Tensioner Replacement

I also need help knowing how to replace the belt tensioner pulley. It looks like you can't get out the bolt because the pulley is real close to the frame, unless the bolt has nuts on both ends, but it doesn't look like it.

I have a 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan 3.3L that keeps blowing a fuse that says for engine every time I try to start it. Do you know what might be causing this? P.S. I guess this is what is keeping it from...

First you need to find out if it is your starter or engine that is causing the fuse to blow. I would suggest you take the serpinetine belt off and see if you can rotate the engine using a large socket wrench or not. If the engine turns by hand, then it isn't froze up. If it doesn't turn, then something has broken loose and has your engine locked and trying to start it will only damage your starter.

Need firing order for 94 gmc 350 pu diagram dist and wires if possible thanks

For GMC 350 the firing order is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2.

The distributor rotor turns clockwise when viewed from above, so the spark plug wires would be installed in the same order as the firing order, beginning with #1.

To find which contact in side the distributor cap that the rotor is "pointing" to, use a ratchet on the center bolt of the crankshaft and turn the engine over by hand (clockwise direction only as viewed from the front of the engine looking towards the firewall) until the timing mark on the harmonic balancer aligns with the "0" mark on the timing cover (may also be indicated by a deep "V" cut into the timing mark indicator attached to the timing cover).

Normally, the rotor will either be "pointing" towards the firewall with a bit more emphasis towards the driver's side cylinder bank, or it will be pointing towards the front of the passenger side front fender. If it is pointing towards the fender, turn the engine over again until the timing marks align and the rotor should be pointing towards the firewall as described above.

Find the closest terminal in the distributor cap that matches the rotor's alignment and install the #1 wire. The distributor cap and then be installed with the remaining wires installed around it clockwise from #1 using the firing order.

Some turning of the distributor may be necessary to get the engine statred. Once it does start, use a timing light to set the timing.

Hope helps (remember rated this).

Need serpentine belt routing diagram for 1994 Dodge grand caravan

3.3L?
Looking at the engine from front (right side of the Van): Stating at the Top, Going Left to Right and Clockwise:
Over the Alternator
To under the Idle Pulley,
To Over the AC Compressor.
To the Left Side of the Water Pump.
To the Right side and Under the Crankshaft Pulley
To the Right side and Over and Down the Tensioner
To Under the Power Steering Pump
And Back up-to the Left side of the Alternator.
Advise when puting it on:
Put the Belt around everything else accept for the Alternator. After it is around all the rest of the Pulleys - Pull the belt up - tight from the Power steering Pump and the Idle Pulley to form a loop, holding the Belt close to the Altenator Pulley.
Using the 15mm wrench or belt tensioner bar - rotate the Tensioner Pulley towards the front of the Van and then place the belt over the Alternator.

You should also have a diagram printed either on the radiator support in the front of the engine bay, or possibly on the bottom side of the hood.

Serpinetine belt and idler pulley

You have to have a mechanic look at it. You shouldn't drive it with the belt still on there.
Cut the belt off and get it out of there, make sure the engine's totally cooled off, and charge the battery to full charge.
If you have an electric fan, the engine won't overheat as quickly, but the battery will run down. If you have a belt-driven fan, you can only run 5 minutes to get to a mechanic,or just have it towed is the best.
The pulleys all have to be inspected and cleaned of any debris left by the ruined belt.
If you're gonna start it and drive it for the 5 minute trip, you need to make sure everything is clear in there, nothing rubbing. don-ohio (:^)
