You can solve this via the iDrive menu>Service>RPA.
There you can select to reinitialize the tire-pressure warning.
You should do that every time after correcting your tire pressure.
Read your instruction manual.
The tire pressure monitors I have seen require you to drive a certain distance after correcting the low pressure condition.I believe it uses the wheel speed sensors to detect a tire with low pressure(then one that is low will be essentially be giving a different reading because it is rotating more times at a given speed).I am assuming the system IS sensitive enough to get a false reading if one of the tires is a mismatched size,so keep this in mind.
It either has Tire Pressure Monitor (TPM), or Flat Tire Monitor (FTM)
TPM:Checks the tire inflation pressure in the four mounted tires. The system indicates if the tire inflation pressure has dropped considerably in one or several tires.
FTM:Keeps track of the inflation pressures in the four mounted tires as you drive. The system triggers an alert whenever the inflation pressure drops significantly in relation to the pressure in another tire.
BMW sensor on your air pressure, in fact, no!
information about whether there is pressure or not the calculated DSC
computer from signal ther you give sensors ad the ABS.
function is quite simple. ABS sensors constantly monitor how the wheel
rotates and each DSC unit calculates the signal and recognize the
differences in wheel rotation. When the pressure is not air physically rotated more than a round where the air pressure
is due to changes in area of circumference empty rounds that diminishes and puffy
round is larger in ! Security systems from BMW are
really so perfect that even a slight difference in rotating do to reveal!
Reset can be found in your board computer and no need special types and tricks
it in the car seting menu. This is standart function
The tire pressure monitor must be reinitialized. There should be a tire button to press and hold or if you have idrive then it will be an option under car settings I think. Your BMW owners manual will have the exact procedure.
well it could be a slow leak in your tire however it can also be because of the temperature change.I have seen many of times that tpms lights have come on and only 1 tire would be low.It only takes aproximately 3 pounds of difference in tire pressure to set the light on.You may also check your spare tire also they have sensors too.
Using the indicator stalk, navigate to the tyre pressure reset option, press the reset button twice in short succession but hold it in the second time until a tick appears on the display
