I have 2006 honda odyssey. i cannot use dvd system, because i cannot eject dvd. how can i eject dvd?

bad disk, try using a fresh store bought disk as test.
and go from there.
whats on that disk? 100s of formats possible, a few work in cars.

Best if you take in to dealer, there alot of lil trim that can be damage while removing the cd player

There should be a small hole near the tray, use a small object to push the release to allow the tray to open....

pulled the fuse and left it out for over an hour. The system reset itself when turn back on.

clean with air from can of computer type cleaner

renew sound system jump starting it without turning it off has cooked a chip in the thing somewhere its called brownout ,not enough voltage can cause more damage than too much

If you disconnect your battery for an hour and then reconnect, the dvd will just pop right out. This happened to us, Honda did not know how to fix it and they wanted me to pay $400 for a new one. But while they were trying to figure it out they were sticking screwdrivers and pens into it and have now broken the whole system and refuse to pay for it.

We ran into this problem with our 2007 Honda Odyssey EX-L and followed Joed202902's instructions.

I'd recommend that you disconnect the battery terminals and let car sit for at least 45-60 mins. I tried it after 10-15 mins and it was not successful. After waiting 45-60 mins, reconnected the battery and DVD ejected no problem.

The Honda dealer just wanted to replace my entertainment center without even troubleshooting and I wasn't convinced that it was "broken" so I found the FIXYA website and saw that others had the same problem and I followed their instructions and it now works fine. I am going to call the Honda dealer to complain because they should have known this.

We simply pulled the fuse out and put it back in and then reset the radio code!
