Sounds likethewater pump pulley makes noise when

It sounds like you have a loose or worn alternator belt
(same belt drives water pump) That would explain the
screeching noise and the battery light on when wet.
Check the belts for tension and wear on the inside of
the belts(cracks or pieces missing) if you're going to
change the belt or belts yourself, thats the best time
to check the pullys and make sure they are tight and
spin true. Hope this helps.

Sonata Gold - Whining noise when power steer in AC On mode

Tighten, your need to tighten the power steering belt a lil bit more, not to much to stretch it but just enough to overcome the resistance of the pump

Replacing timing belt

According to THIS ebay listing there are (kinda) 2: 1 is the T-belt; the other is a Balance Shaft Belt. Ask the shop what the belts are for (don't offer the info) and see what they say.

good luck,

Not sure if it is the belt or the power steering pump. Making noise. Sprayed WD40 on it when it was running and it goes away for abour 30 seconds.

You probably need a new belt, don't buy a cheap belt. I have used cheap before and had noise right away. Ask for a Gates belt. When you sprayed the wd40 it lubed the old belt temporarily so the noise went away. Better to replace all or them at the same time. I am pretty sure the nissan has 2-3 belts.

Belts squeal every time I start my car. It's worse when there's moisture in the air. The car 2003 Sonata doesnt have an on/off switch for the air. I can turn it down but its always on. I've had the belts...

go to a auto part store and buy a spray can of belt dressing you start the can open the hood go over to the belts spray it on the bottom pulley otherwise called the crankshaft pulley the sound will stop you will probaly have to do this about 1 a day for three days and then you shouldnt have any more problems
