SOURCE: how to change tag lights

I had to remove the entire light bar assy by taking every bolt loose to gain access to replace the tag bulbs on my 2000 Buick Lesabre. It is necessary to replace only one bulb so I replaced all bulbs with the new longer lasting bulbs...the bulbs are not expensive just impossible to gain access to them one at a time. It seems like GM made it so you would have to take it into the GM Dealer. A deep well socket makes the task muck easier! Hope this helps!

Where is the fuse for tag lights on 88 chevy c1500 silverado

There is not a separate fuse. The tag light is powered off of the tail lights. If you have tail lights but no tag lights your problem is either bad tag light bulbs or the connections between the tail lights and the chassis ground at the tag light bulb sockets.

My tag light in my 99 Ford Windstar not working even after I changed bulbs

Check the wiring to that socket. Possibly a wire broke or bad bulb socket. The license plate light is only a splice from the tail light wires, so if both or all tail lights work from the park/headlight switch, the tag light problem is right there at the rear. If you have a voltmeter or a test light, check for power to the bulb socket with the park lights on.
