The starter is located pretty much right below the air intake hoses. if you take those out, you can get a 14mm socket to where the two bolts are. One of them is easy to see the other one is impossible to see from the top but you can feel around and find it without too much difficulty. An idiot proof way to find the starter is to follow the ground wire from the negative side of the battery to the starter. it grounds on one of the bolts that holds the starter in. This is not a very complicated procedure and requires no jacking up of the car.

My 93 nissan sentra service two door five speed had rust and water in the fuel I replaced the pump filter and cleaned the tank why dose two of the cylinders not miss like there not firing

Pull out the spark plugs to see their condition, if they look fine check the resistance on the wires and make sure the distributor(if it has one) is fine too. Another thing too it can be a fuel injector that went bad

When dose my 93 Nissan sentra keep turning off when I stop

It probably does need a tune up, but DO NOT take it to a dealer. They overcharge you for things that you could get at a lower price from a private auto mechanic. I don't know why it would cut off at every stop. As for the distributor cap, spark plug wires, and spark plugs... bring the car to Advance Auto Parts or Autozone, buy those things, and get them to show you how to put them on. It's really not that hard to do and you'll save a lot of money that way.

93 Nissan Sentra will not start

before you do that , if it is an automatic , check your neutral start switch. to answer your question , no you do not have to pull the steering wheel . You will have to pull the upper and lower steering column covers behind the steering wheel to access to the ignition switch assembly.

What do i need to do to replace a starter in my 97 nissan sentra?

first unhook the battery, remove the air cleaner box and ducting to the throttle body, you will see the 2 bolts for the top. you will then need to go under the vehicle(make sure the vehicle is properly supported), and you will see the bracket between the engine block and the intake manifold, remove it.the starter wire does not get removed from the starter, it has a connector about 4-5 inches away. disconnect it there. disconnect the battery cable from the starter, remove the last bolt and it will come right out. all in all it takes about 30 minutes. most places will charge a "core charge" on a product like this. dont be suprised, however when you return the old starter you will get your money back. let me know if you need further assistance.
