Had the same exact issues with my 2000 Diesel. Windshield seal was no good, water was getting to electronics. I replaced the windshield and all the problems stopped.
the best way will be to drop the fuel tank and totally empty it away if you have only put a small amount of gas in the truck then you can get away with filling it up with fresh diesel
Sounds to me like a fuel filter/water seperator issue, not enough fuel pressure at higher speeds due to the restriction of fuel but runs when engine is slowed down or idling. Also there is a recall of the 07S57cam position(CMP) sensor that Ford will replace for free! I hope this helps...
nothing special, its in the valley, probably have to remove the fuel bowl and the turbo pedastal to get access to it. book value from navistar / ford is a 4 hour job. better have a good ladder and a plywood sheet to lay on up in the engine bay.
