Your door pin switch is most likely bad. it is what turns it on and off.

i can't get a diagram that would help you but the door pin switch is in the door latch itself. so you can't see it externaly. i would first try some wd-40 and repeatly open and close the door continuing to spray the wd-40 in the latch itself.

problem is what door it is will be hard to figure out. the one key thing is that if it is the drivers door the chime would be going off if it still works.

but spray them all and open and close the doors like 50 times + a piece. this will losen it up because it is most likely stuck.

I have a 1997 Chevy Lumina and the turn signals do not work. The hazards work, but can't see the lights on the dashboard. Also the horn does not work.

Question edited for a lot more clarity.
Question moved to model category.

It might be the flasher relay and it might be the horn relay although horns tend to seize up through lack of use. the flasher relay is is separate to the Hazards relay which is often part of the switch.

My interior dome light won't go off in my 1997 Chevy lumina please help!! Don't want my battery to go dead :(

Disconnect your battery or remove the dome light bulb. Either there is a switch at the light that you hit and made it stay on or the door switch is broken.

I just fixed this problem on my brother-in-laws lumina. Yours could be experiencing the same. Pull all of the marker lights out of the sockets and leave them hang out. While doing this, check the wires for scuffs or bareness. Then add another fuse. Try the dashlights again, if it stays on... then you have a need for new peanut bulbs for the marker lights. If the fuse blows again, then try pulling the lights on the dashboard (by removing the dashconsole parts, etc. Its a process of elimination. If the marker lights are the culprit, clean the sockets out with a brush before you install new lights.
