Have 2000 VW Jetta, turning signal stops working intermittently. starts signal then stops blinking during turn or sometimes it works fine, sometimes won/t. all bulbs working & all other functions on the switch works, cruise control, high & low light beam. I'm thinking it's the flasher relay.

Check the wiring harness where it goes into the door for shorts.
I had a 95 camry that was having intermittent electrical issues and found wires shorted to each other where the door opens and closes.

The turn signal flasher unit needs to be replaced.

Flashing too fast means that at least one exterior bulb isn't working. IF its an intermittent problem, once bulb could not be making connection at times. next time its flashing fast, stop the car and look to see which bulb isn't working. Replace that bulb, clean the socket at the same time

its most likley a bad bulb or actually a connection.. couple things.. check bulb connection n check ground wires... if that dont work replace flasher..

it is most likely the flasher unit is faulty & needs to be replaced,this unit serves turn signal & hazard lights, you should find it under the dash on drivers side,it may be a square or round unit with a connector plug on the top.....hope this helps......cheers.

I had a similar problem. when i adjusted my tilt steering it solved the problem. sounds crazy but there is a short somewhere in there....

chevy had an issue with the blinkers and hazards not working all the time i found that when my turn signals stop working push the hazard switch until they blink then the turn signals start working again. its a faulty turn signal/hazard switch that needs to be replace costs about 30 bucks pretty simple to replace.

TELL ME WHAT PROBLEM YOU HAVING.IF TURN SIGNAL LIGHTS DONT WORK YOU CHECK BULBS + SOCKETS AND THE FUSE.IF ALL OKAY PROBLEM IS IN FLASHER UNIT SWITCH OR LOOSE OPEN WIRE CONNECTION.IF EVERY THING CHECK OUT GOOD TURN SIGNAL SWITCH IS FAULTY.

Sounds like the turn signal flasher is going bad. The easy way to find wher the flasher is hidden is turn the turn signal on and find the clicking, that is the flasher. The emergency flashers work fine because they use a different flasher.

Just a thought , maybe change your fuel cap. may not be regulating tank pressure properly.
