I have had ongoing problems with my car, it is very sluggish and seems to miss, will not go faster than 15mph while cold, once warmed up it is fine. now it will not start I thought the battery died.
battery is good
new fuel pump and filter and pressure regulator
new coil
new air intake sensor
new cap and rotor
new spark plug and wires
what do I do now?
A faulty coolant temperature sensor could be at fault. if its telling the computer the engine is hot when its actually cold, it can cause performance problems. when the sensor tells the computer its cold, it richens the fuel mixture. once the car warms up, it leans the mixture out. if the mixture is too lean at startup, it will run poorly
