Is there a check engine light on? If so, have the computer scanned for trouble codes that may point you in the right direction. If no light on, there still may be codes stored in the history portion of the computer. Possibly a vehicle speed sensor problem.
check your wiring harness that plugs into the coil pack and see if the wires are melted or showing. i have a 92 and the wires melted together and it was doing the same thing and it also could be your coilpack or your ignition control module (icm)
Passenger airbag goes off if someone sitting in that seat or items weigh less than a certain amount. Not sure the amount because my daughter weighs 65 pounds and light goes off which means airbag wont deploy for her because it would do more harm then good. My son who teeters between 88 - 92 pounds the lights on at 88 and off at 92. So I'm guessing anything under 90 pounds airbag wont deploy. This is what the dealership told me as well when I bought it. I had daughter with me at purchase time.
Sounds like the ignition module or the crank sensor. Even though the crank sensor is fairly new doesn't mean anything. Remove the ignition module and take it to a parts store. Most parts stores can test it.

Hi! I have enclosed 3 trouble trees for you. The code being stored is a quad driver error. Quad(which means 4)drivers control up to 4 things. They are located in the engine control module. They provide ground for the items that they control. This could mean a component that the driver controls could be bad or the computer itself. Hope this helps you!
