If it a v8 then your firing order is
cylinder on left side valve is 1-3-5-7 (left-right) & right side is 2-4-6-8 (right-left) towards front of the car to rear. Firing order is : 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2-

if is a v6 then the firing order is

firewall side of the engine will be
2 - 4 - 6

Front of the car Radiator side will be
1 - 3 - 5

This is with you standing in front of the car

And if memory serves firing order is 1-6-5-4-3-2

What size engine? Check the gap on the plugs as well. "pregapped" is not always right

My car is missing need the wireing diagram for a 2003 mitsubishi galant es 2.4 ltr.

From the timing belt to the transmission the fireing orders are 1234 One and three fired the same time 2 and 4 fire the same time. Pull all the plugs for the spark plug on them and lay them across the top of the motor with plugs in them you can see which ones fire at what time. The spark plugs need to be touching a grounded part of the engine to fire. This also will help you find out if you have bad wires.

Coil pack plugs diagram ignition

Make sure computer was cleared from old error. Check or replace #2 fuel injector. Spark plug wires can be replaced individually, you might want to replace #2 wire.

Missing on number 3

Did you set the gap right on the spark plugs? Also double and triple check the wiring diagram for plug wires, because may have gotten one crossed. I would also check to see if having any vacuum leaks or broken vacuum lines since replacing wires, sometimes they become brittle and break.

I don't have a diagram for the spark plugs and wires. My truck is missing and I think that maybe it might be a spark plug problem.

You shouldnt need a diagram , replace the plugs. replace each wire individually dont take them all off at once. you can mark no.1 position on the dist cap. also take a photo or two with your camera or phone. To help more you would have to supply the car model and engine details. If you replace the wires carefully one at a time you should have no problems. If this helps Please Vote Jeff

First i've got to replace my shocks/struts and are there any special tools that i'll need?Second my car misses and it's from the fifth spark plug ;I've changed the plug already!!Can you help me PLEASE!!!

have you checked the distributer cap and the lead to number 5? as far as your suspension goes it seems just from a quick look at the diagram it looks like you will need a set of coil spring compressors to remove the insert of the front strut but you may be able to buy a complete unit.

I just changed the spark plugs and wires and it ran relatively ok but just yesterday it started to miss. Do I need to replace the distributor cap and timing?

I would remove the cap and look at the inside for any burn marks or cracks. I would check to make sure all the plug wires connectors are seated on the plugs. Has the fuel filter been replaced lately? I see alot of them over looked. The timing is controlled by the computer.
