1997 GMC Jimmy has no power to the fuel pump. Is there a fuse? If so, where?
First, Have someone help you so they can turn the key on/off and you take the gas cap off and listen for the fuel pump to cycle, It should run for about 2 seconds, If you do not hear the pump then check the relays in the glove box, I think it is the first one, There is three of them in there, When the key is turned on one of the relays should click, For step three you need a fuel rail presser gauge to be hooked to the fuel rail, Anyway if you do not hear the fuel pump cycle for two seconds and the relays do click then most likely the fuel pump is bad, The pump is inside the fuel tank and is not really hard to change, You can find a You-Tube vid on how to change the 1997 Jimmy fuel pump.
Fuse in the fuse box. also the power to prime the pump starts at the oil pressure switch. check that out too. then the relay for the pump in that order

There are no bad fuses, the relay is not bad either, still now power to fuel pump, but we know the fuel pump works when it gets power.
