This is what to do first.as it is cheaper. run your car with a radiator flush in it .for about 20 miles.then drain it .easy way is remove the hose from your water pump.then refit the hose.now refill with 50/50 mix of anti freeze.leave off your expansion bottle cap the now.turn on your engine.now turn your heating on full.that will bleed all the air out .you do a flush due to dirt or rust in both your heater core and the radiator core.you do this for any car having heater trouble like blowing cold.

What's your problem?what type of antifreeze do i use r a 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee

find a brand that says that it is compatable with any other brand, and that it won't harm metals such as aluminum, copper, and so on.
you can buy it pre mixed if you wish ,i prefer to mix it myself.
brand isn't important as long as it meets the requirements listed above.
unless the warenty requires it
hope this is helpfull !

I have a 2001 jeep grand cherokee losing antifreeze no leaks.

This is a hands on diag. If no leaks can be found then the coolant has to be going out the tailpipe. Chances are you have a cracked head or a cracked block. New gasget only temporarily sealed the crack. But then we are just guessing.

1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee intermittent voltage drop, lose electric

I wont list this as a solution, but it seems that working in the area of the alt may have moved around some wiring...the alt may be OK but perhaps an adjacent wire (maybe a ground) is not well connected. Also check crimped on wire loops on alt connectors..they like to corrode at the crimp where it crushes on the actual wire.
