90 chevy lumina 3.1 v6, dies off after bout 4 blocks, if you let it sit for bout 15 mins it starts back up but dies off after a few blocks, changed fuel filter, fuel preshure is 40lbs while running stays at 40lbs when it dies off, has spark after it dies off, will start if starter fluid is shoot in the throtle body

When it stops running and will not start back up, you'll need to figure out if you are lacking spark or fuel pressure to proceed with testing.

cound be the crank sensor going bad.

You have a little black chip on your key That microchip is read be the lock cyl and lets the ign swich power up its so no can steal you car by hot wiring it.the dealer can reprogram key but will cost a few bucks a new cyl comes programed 150-175
Some chevys if you leave key on for 15 mins turn off back on 15 mins off back 15
mins will program the thrid time 15 mins is up the will flash norm agian.
if not you can measure resitance on chip on key and link together resitors together and loop around ign cyl and it will start do that a few times all the ones i did where

sounds to me like you have a short in the ignition itself , it seems intermittent which would make me believe its the ignition

have you changed your fuel filter?

May be time for a tune up, or your electronic ignition may be dying
