2006 BMW 530i with a slow/small oil leak.

I have a 2006 BMW 530i with 52,000 miles on it. I noticed some oil spots in my driveway and after awhile the oil level low warning light came on. I put a quart of Mobile 1 synthetic oil in there as instructed in the manual and the gauge went to normal. Just wondering if this is going to keep happening. Bought the car used recently.

Common oil leaking areas on that engine is the plastic lid on the oil filter, and the gasket in between the oil filter adapter and the engine block.I would suggest you take it to a qualified shop and have them diagnose the oil leak.

I keep adding engine oil on my 2006 BMW 530i, engine has no leaking. Any help?

Check exhaust smoke color when engine hot. If there is white smoke, there may be oil in the pipes. Means the valve seal is leaking oil into the cylinder. Another way to check is to look at the spark plug tips. If is full of soot like burnt oil then the oil is leaking into the cylinders.

If yours is E60 turbo, check the presence of residue oil in both the exhaust and intake turbine. If there is, the oil seals in the turbo housing is leaking oil. They do sell service kits for turbos.

Just bought a 1995 bmw 530i 5speed 136,000 miles has a oil leak but can't find it but it's leaving quarts of oil on the ground can anyone help plz asap

Try changing the oil (probably due) and then cleaning the area of the filter and the plug and also clean the plug off as well sometimes people carelessly change oil and don't clean it and, leave something on the surface and the filter or plug does not seal and then leaks. Place a flattened box underneath after and see if and where it is leaking. If all else fails try bars stop leak

more than likely the smell is oil not wires check the valve covers and the front of the
engine or do you notice any oil spots in the driveway if not than its burning internally
all i can say is keep an eye on it

Bmw 530i model 2001 230000 km i have to add l liter oil per 10 day due to oil leak. no oil spot under car but the mechanic told me the rubber between engine and gear box is leaking and no smoke. can...

STP won't stop the leak, only disassembling and replacing the seal. However, the car could be burning oil but the catalytic converter will complete the combustion of the 'smoke' to water (H2O) and Carbon Dioxide (CO2).

At 230,000 KM, I wouldn't be surprised that the rings are worn or the valve seals are leaking internally.

2000 Monte Carlo has a slow oil leak started noticing oil on the garage floor. I also noticed that if I park the car on a small incline such as my drive way the leak goes away at least there's no oil on...

as a mechanic I will say it can be multi things that can cause a leak. but when you say it goes away on slight incline that normaly means it is toward the front of the engine. I must say just because their is low miles does not mean a seal will not go out. I have replaced seals on cars with only 10,000. It is normaly caused from vibration or misplacment of seal. If you look under the car look for a wet spot on the engine or its components then email me back and I may be able to help you narrow it down. I would not freak out to bad though monte carlos are easy to work on and should not cost much to fix it.

I put my 2006 bmw 525i in storage about 3 weeks

Any type of fluid leak is not normal. Especially engine oil.

My BMW seems to be leaking oil from the rear underside

the leak is most likely coming from either the differential cover gasket or the input flange that the drive shaft attaches to, this is called the pinion seal.

Repair or item list for 50k mile service for my 06 530i

Probably the pollen filters as well, brake fluid and anti freeze. If this is your last free service with the dealer it pays to ask them if you can check the service schedule list for your car.
