I would think that either the fan switch or the resistor would be your problem if you've ruled out any fuse or wiring issues. By testing the voltage going in & out of both components, preferably with a digital multimeter but a 12 volt test light can be used, you will eliminate purchasing parts needlessly. If you end up getting voltage to the fan then see below remarks.

The blower motor still could be bad depending upon how you're jumping it. The vehicle wiring is only equipped to send a certain amount of amps to the blower motor & you may be using wiring that is larger, or connecting directly to a power supply that would make even a weak motor work by providing much more amperage than the vehicle usually does..

You can generally note that a worn motor doesn't turn by hand as smoothly as it should, causing the need for maximum amperage to get it started, tough to do in a car when everything is cold.

I suggest a Vehicle specific manual to aid in troubleshooting if you are unfamiliar with removing those components.

good luck.

Blower not working

Tell us what make an model of vehicle you are using in your description of the problem. Blower not working can be caused by:
1. Blown fuse
2. Bad fan switch
3. Bad resistor speed selector unit (changes voltage going to fan motor.
4. Melted or bad connector, usually between switch and motor.
5. You have lost the ground from the fan going back to the battery. ie, a bad connection.
You will need a volt/ohm meter after you check the fuse.
Make sure you have battery voltage (about 12 volts) coming to the fan switch. If you do get 12 volts, follow it in the circuit going to the blower fan until you stop getting 12 volts. Where it stops is where the problem is. You can also start the test right at the blower fan with a meter to see if the fan is getting 12 volts and work backwards towards the switch.
Most likely cause: Bad resistor pack or connectors melted going to it, followed by a bad fan switch.
Good luck!

A/c not blowing

If you are handy with repairing things. First check the fuse (probably located on the left or right side of vehicle) or under driver side dash, 15-20 amp fuse.. Turn on the key, and the blower switch to high, then make sure you have 12 volts going to the blower motor and a good ground. You can test the operation by bypassing the blower. Test using a good ground to the black side and a 12 volt source to the red or orange side (depending on vehicle). If the blower runs the problem is most often with the resistor. The resistor can be found attached to the heater assembly. It can be identified by two wires running to the blower motor. It usually has 4-5 wires as part of the resistor pack. This is a cheap fix. Be aware that most of the parts come from China and most people have bad luck using these cheap parts.

What makes the blower motor blow?

A switched power source is feed to the blower motor, usually from either a fuse or directly from the ignition switch. A ground for the motor is ran through the control head, and depending on what speed is chossen, the ground is routed to the blower motor resistor. The resistor is what controls how much of the 12 volt power is used at the motor. For highest setting, resistor is completly bypassed, supplying a seperate ground for full 12 volts to be used.

No Power to Heater

by heater i take it you mean the blower motor.these work on a fuse and or relay and a set of resistors.but start by checking the fuse as you said you have no poower.if the fuse is ok then check for power at the plug on the blower motor, you will have to disconnect the plug at the blower motor and have a tester placed on 12 volts to perform this test.turn ignition to the on position and turn on the heater unit,you should have a reading of some kind .if you have up to 12 volts then the wiring and fuseare ok. the problem then would be the blower motorbut after removal you could always check the motor by hooking it up to a 12 volt power source to see if it turns.

Blower motor stopped working all the sudden. any relays need to be checke or replace before i take dashboard apart?

test the blower motor by running a jumper to it from the battery, cheap lamp cord works well fro this, if the blower motor runs with the jumper from the battery (or any 12 volt source) then the most likely problem is the blower motor speed control resistor is burned out.

Heat ac fan quit blowing fuses ok what next?

Hi. You will need to acquire a volt meter, and test the blower motor for proper voltage(12v). If the motor is registering a 12 volt current(at contacts with the switch activated), simply replace the fan motor. If not, replace the fan relay, or resistor switch.

My heat and AC fan wont come on and all the fuses are fine

What I would do is pull the fan blower motor speed switch, plug the wires back into it while you're holding it in your hand, run the car, and check with a multitester and see if you are getting voltage at the switch. Should be something like:
High=12-14 volts
MHi=8-10 volts
MLo=4-6 volts
Low=2-4 volts
OFF=no voltage

If you get voltage but the fan still doesn't work, then it's either a bad ground, or the motor is bad. If you can access the blower motor wire connections(sometimes its easier to try this with it removed from the vehicle), then you could try jumping the blower motor at the wiring connection with a known good 12 volt source, and if you STILL can't get the motor to spin then it's seized up or it's just a bad motor. If you have the motor removed, try spinning the squirrel cage by hand. Is it stiff? Seized? Probably need a new one if it doesn't spin freely by hand.

Hope this helps!

1992 ford tempo blower motor

If you look up behind glove box (it will come out if needed) you should see wires going into heater housing/duct, then out to blower motor. The connector there should be attached to a resistor that may have gone bad. I believe there is 2 small screws holding it in to housing.

Blower stopped working.

Heater blower motor resister is bad, or blower motor its self is bad. Run 12 volts from an outside sourse to blower motor, if it runs its resister if not its blower motor.

I need to put a alternate switch on my punto

If you are talking abotu the blower motor on the heater, Find the motor take the wire  from the motor to one side of the switch and the other side to the fuse holder where you can pick up the 12 volts needed. I would test the motor first by temporary hooking up 12 volts to the blower motor to se if it works. If it does not , replace the motor, and maybe the switch is not bad.
