98 Hyundai Excel - Indicator lights not working

I have a 98 Excel and all of a sudden the indicator lights aren't working, I am not sure if this is a fuse problem or what? But obviously need to get it fixed asap!

Your hazard button and your turn signals run throw the hazard switch. The hazard switch goes bad and you may need to replace it.

My hazard switch won't work but my signals (indicators) still do!

You need to replace the hazard switch and the flasher unit located above fuse box even though the Hyundai dealer parts man said they are on two separate circuits u wouldn't need to replace both but I assure u that u do. Also buy a genuine Hyundai flasher unit as the after market one we bought at repco wouldn't work and we had to take it back for a refund.

In my situation, my indicators work but my hazard switch don't. So i know my flasher unit is fine but my hazard switch on my dash might be the problem. I also reckon the central locking is connected to the hazards because my lights don't flash when the car is being unlocked or locked.

Hight beam wont come on

If you check to make sure your headlight switch connector is plugged in correctly and all other connections are made then the head light switch ( high beam portion) internal connections aren't making a good enough contact or are broken. In this case replace switch.

Dears Sir/Madam, What are the likey causes of an intermittent indicator light failure in a Hyundai Lantra. They usually work OK at startup and then fail after a few uses. Maybe related to temperature....

are you referring to the yellow signal lights on the outside of the vehicle? if so, check each light to see if one is blinking faster than the others, or if one does'nt light at all you might need to replace the bulb...

Cannot find the indicator switch

Yes.. there is. It's called the 'FLASHER UNIT' Couldn't find any "Orientation Pics" (vehicle location), but it's usually been located under the driver's side dash:

Anchorage points in Hyundai Excel 98

I have found the anchor points on my car, and would suggest they would be in the same place on yours. Mine are on the inside back panel, as in the panel behind the rear break lights / indicators etc, inside the boot. You should see, in amongst the other irregular shaped holes, three holes into what appears to be more solid parts of the plate. They are positioned one behind each of the 3 rear seat positions to allow you to choose where you are placing your seat. The anchor just screws directly into these holes.
