The keys probably need to be reprogramed try using the spare key or the other key then switch back to that key if it doesnt work you need to reprogram the key but you need 2 keys to do that

How do I reset the anti theft on the car?

this will sound odd, but I was having the same issue, and I tried everything on this forum but I wasn't getting anywhere, but I decided to check all my fuses under the dash and found out on my 2010 Ford E350 fuse #54 fuel pump relay coil, was blown, I replaced it and the van started right up, I was having all the issues of a PAT system failure, dash lights on, security light blinking, and advance track service light on.

Anti theft wont let me start car

The problem may not be with anti-theft but with a bad fuel pump,cam/crank sensor etc. Also, you may try unlocking the drivers door with the key. On most cars that is the standard method for disabling the security system.

It turn but will not start

Could be fuel pump. If you hear the pump in the rear of the car turn on and then quit you may have a theft system problem. Check on the dash for the theft system indicator. If it is blinking when you try to start the car that is the problem. Close all doors and turn key to On for 10 mins til theft light turns solid and disappears. then try to start car.

Dont know how to reset or bypass gm theft system car is not starting .It tries and quits.

this is one way to reset it :
first make sure the battery is fully charged , then do the following:
key in the ignition but do not crank the motor, just leave it at the
ignition mode for ten minutes ,then turn it off POSITION for 5 seconds then REPEAT again 2 more times. at the 3 rd time youre gonna notice the ANTI THEFT light on dash to blink. when doing the last step , remove key , inserted again and turn on motor , good luck , AJ

Antitheft problem

Something in your anti theft system has failed. The key, transceiver, or module. The only way to find out is to run a diag on that circuit. You will need special tester.

Car still won't start

The taurus is equipped with what is called a PATS (passive anti theft) that wont let the car start until it recognizes the key in the ignition, some things to check, first when you put the key in and turn the car to run (not start) does the theft light blink fast in the dash or is there a red on light on the dash that starts blinking? if so it is a PATS problem, the only ones I know of that can program keys are dealers, if the car wont turn over it probably is not a fuel pressure issue, the most common thing would be the PATS keys either unprogrammed or somthing wrong with the module. hope this helps
