Its the transmission cooler it has two lines that connect to it, it cools down your transmission fluid so your transmission runs cooler and lasts alot longer

Transmission oil found in radiator

there is a cooler for the trans fluid that runs threw the f the radiator the cooler splits and trans pressure being higher while running pushes into the coolant how ever as it cools down the coolant pressure can push the coolant into the trans so see if the trans fluid looks like a straw beery milk shake if so try and keep flushing the trans until the fluid is clean and fresh if the trans makes it threw the coolant then you will need to flush the cooling system i use pinesol it breaks down the oil

Found transmission fluid in the rediator overflow. engine is 3.0 v 6

Your transmission cooler in the radiator tank is probably leaking, A radiator shop could probably replace the cooler but if the radiator is old you should replace the whole thing.

How do you replace the transmission cooler on my 89 oldsmobile cutlass supream

Your trans cooler is located inside one of the radiator tanks and would be expensive to replace.
You can either replace the radiator with new or used or cut the lines and install an external cooler as is used for towing. If the cooler in the radiator is leaking, you need to flush the system to remove as much oil as possible or it will cause hoses to soften and fail. Also wise to change trans fluid as well.
Always use double clamps when running rubber lines for cooler so they don't slide apart under pressure.

Oil in the radiator looks like it might be transmision fluid Will the antifreeze get into the transmision

If it is trans fluid the cooler inside your radiator must have a leek. Yes it is possible for it to get itno the trans. Check to see if the fluid is milky.

Leaking red fluid

The red fluid is transmission fluid, check the transmission fluid level, if it get's to low the transmission will burn out and your looking at a expensive job.
The fluid could be leaking from the transmission cooler line to the radiator in front of the car. Have it repaired and keep an eye on the fluid level to the transmission. Note: transmission fluid is flammable and may catch fire if slashed on to any hot area's like the exhaust.
Good luck and hope this helps.

I have oil in radiator ,transmission slips

Does the oil in the radiator look reddish? likely it does...You most likely have a failure inside the radiator where the trans cooler coil runs through it. Replace radiator and have trans fluid changed and flushed. If slipping continues trans will need a rebuild. (hope not)
