Its illegal fo a person to remove the bulb so they could hold the seller responsible...otherwise that code means the sensor is bad, wiring is bad, timing marks are off, or camshaft gear is damaged. Let me know if you have questions, thanks.

Why is there recurrent DTC P2138?

TBW blues, THROTTLE BY WIRE
NEW PARTS FROM gm OR AFTER MARKET STUFF.
THAT IS P2 OEM FACTORY ONLY CODE.

well did you use the scan tool after all those new parts
TB and pedal
and reset all DTC then drive plenty ? to see it fail again
if yes,bad wiring. or using wrong parts.
no engine told at all
no VIN told, no RPO codes for engine. told.
lacking that it be super easy to get wrong parts, on 3 _+ engines
2,8L , 3.6, and 5.7L V8
none told. and is a pure engine EFI question
to work on any car not knowing what is there, we read the RPO tag
shows engine codes. and we buy parts only ON THAT>
all 3 TB ARE DIFFERENT.
Most of these parts have connector that lock, some are double locked, and if forced are broken.
try re-seating all TB and pedal connectors, with due care.
fully re-seated.
and wire damage.

THE SM STATES AND I QUOTE

Trouble Code: P2138 (3.6L V6 VIN 7 Auto)
Accelerator Pedal Position (APP) Sensor 1-2 Correlation

Print this code data

Trouble Code Conditions:
The battery voltage is more than 7.0 volts. The ignition is ON or the engine is operating. DTC P2138 run continuously once the above conditions are met for more than 1 second. This DTC set when one of the following conditions occur: The ECM detects that the voltage difference between APP sensor 1 and 2 is more than 0.21 volt. The ECM detects that the voltage difference between APP sensor 1 and 2 is more than 0.27 volt with a partially pressed pedal. The ECM detects that the voltage difference between APP sensor 1 and 2 is more than 1.07 volts with a fully pressed pedal. The ECM detects that the APP sensor 1 voltage is more then 1.17 when leaving the idle range and the voltage difference between APP sensor 1 and 2 is more than 0.04. Any of the above conditions exist for less than 4 seconds.

code p0016refers to the crankshaft /cam shaft position sensor bank 1 sensor A-- correlation===causes---Wiring CKP sensor--CMP sensor--mechanical fault Check timing belt is not broken
code po113 refers to intake air temp (IAT) sensor--circuit malfunction===causes ---wiring open circuit/short to positive--wiring short to ground---ground wire defective IAT sensor---ECM
code mp0700 refers to transmission control system/MIL-malfunction===causes--wiring ---TCM
code po562 refers to system voltage low==causes---wiring poor connections---battery---alternator or it also refers to ECM power relay control--circuit open===causes ---wiring--ECM ---relay. For this one check the battery terminals and posts are shiny clean and tight . Have a load test done on the battery to check for faulty cell. check condition of alternator drive belt and check alternator out put.

Car has dieing while going dwn rd. Sometimes wjll start rght back up, other times we wait sometimes hrs. I've checked the coil pack& module both pcm &ecm were checked by g&s auto and said...

Code 17 & 18 are crank/cam correlation codes. Depending on what car you have, some sensors are dual sensor, crank and cam in one. Some are set up with up to three sensors. One crank and one or two cam sensors. I you have a dual sensor, I would replace it, but check the plug first. Sometimes corrosion can mess with sensors. Just unplug it and plug it back in. This usually takes care of contact issues. Clear the light and see if that code comes up again. If you have two or more sensors, then we are talking timing belt issues. To check code 26, you will have to check for voltage on that wire. Pinout and color codes are needed to find the wire from the ECM. Again not knowing your car, voltage could be 5,8, or 12 volts. Or real close to these numbers. If you don't see any voltage from here, the ECM is bad. Quad drivers either work or don't work. 56 is an 02 heater code. This could make the car run a little rough, but not cut out. Now the injector test, if you didn't get a reading from the injector, it is bad. This will make the run real bad, Because you lost that cylinder.

What do i do when the p1702 code is recorded?

P1702 TRS Circuit Intermittent Malfunction, not a very common code , usually comes along with other codes, here are some things to check Battery voltage, need 12.4 minimum motor off,, 14.5 or so with motor running,, have it load tested Meter test your brake switch, a faulty switch will also push this code up this code is usually associated with a P0340 code, if your car is sluggish and rpm's vary at stops , then check the Cam shaft sensor

I turned the key to my 2001 dodge ram 3500 and it

A code P0500 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
1.The Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) is not reading (functioning) properly 2.There is a broken/frayed wire leading to the vehicle speed sensor 3.The vehicle's PCM is not correctly configured for the actual tire size on the vehicle
The simplest thing to do is to reset the code and see if it comes back. Next, check all wiring and connectors that lead to the speed sensor. The location of the sensor depends on your vehicle. The sensor could be on the rear axle, transmission, or perhaps the wheel hub (brake) assembly. If the wiring and connectors are OK, then check the voltage at the speed sensor.
P1693 (M) DTC Detected in PCM/ECM or DTC
Detected in ECM
A 9Companion DTC9 was set in both the ECM and PCM which is related to the above DTC code.

01 accent gl 1.6 liter auto, air ;engine lite on,trouble code 342, (cmp, sen low) three wire sys. posit 1 tests bat volt. posit 2 is suppose to read 0-5 volts @700-3000 rpm;but reads 12.1 running and 11.3...

P0342 is set when the ECM does NOT receive a signal from the CMP snsr. You may very well have GOOD continuity between the ECM and pin 2 (000.2 ohms), but that wire, if grounded someplace (shorted to ground or to another wire in the harness), the ECM will not/does not get a clear/proper signal. Look for a problem in the wiring harness.

Check engine light blinks

Ok, i would ave the ignition coil pack tested for its operational valve asap if possible. this is either an ignition coil pack issue or, a bad ECM. the ECM controls the ignition timing in this vehicle so, the problem will be there if the crank shaft sensor and cam sensors are ok.

I would pull the trouble codes asap as well. this will help diagnosis this issue correctly. this can be done at a local auto zone or a local mechanics shop as well.

2001 Nissan Maxima service engine light stays on code from Auto Zone scanner is PO139 and PO138. What should my next step be to solve this problem.

code p 0138 refers to 2 items
1--heated oxygen sensor(HO2S) 2 bank 1--high voltage ==causes --wiring short to positive --HO2S---ECM
2--oxygen sensor (O2S) 2 bank 1--high voltage ===causes wiring short to positive ---ECM
code p 0139 refers to 2 items
1--- heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) 2 bank 1--slow response ===causes --heating inoperative --wiring--ECM
2--oxygen sensor (o2S) 2 bank 1 slow response ===causes --wiring --- O2S

heated oxygen sensors9HO2S) are in the exhaust manifold before the cat converter
Oxygen sensors (O2S) are after the cat converter
it is indicated that the HO2S is faulty-
check the wiring and /or replace both sensors

Most common cause for code P0340 of 95 Ranger

Hi, the cam shaft sensor will be located Under the hood, center, upper engine area, mounted behind rear of intake manifold, in the engine block.

This is a magnetic or hall effect sensor. It sends a signal to the computer relaying information about shaft speed, position and acceleration or deceleration. This information determines when the fuel/air mixture needs to be ignited and how much mixture is needed for the engine.

The possible causes of failure will be faulty housing or faulty wires as well. A faulty ECM could trigger a false alarm as well. this is highly unlikely but, possible in most cases. The most reported reasons is flat out sensor failure.
