run a test . does it idle when you are not in the car? Does it stop when you have your foot on the brake? If the answer to these questions is yes then you have a brake booster air leak and should replace the booster. Are your idle rpm's above 750rpm ? if not get them there. If it is an automatic then does it stop when you are stationary and in gear. Check air fuel ratio and ignition timing.
Have a pressure test done on the box to determine the internal mechanics are ok.. Check the fluid level is correct. Check that the torque converter clutch solenoid is operational and getting power from the TCM
would need a drive to be honest to know whats wrong ,Now in my time cars had no syncro on first or second gear so you had to stop and be stationary to engage first gear which i still do if the cars moving abiet very slowly then i use second but a lot of modern cars like this have out of square engines unlike a old humber or morris with a long stroke engine and a starting handle for a flat battery morning. Now is this not going into gear when moving and ok when stationary or all the time ?
In my opinon you DID NOT hurt the Car at all.
However, I'm NOT telling anyone to turn the wheels
15 times at a stop. It will put a strane on the P/S Pump &
the Rack and Pinion (the steering gear BOX)
I will admit that when I bleed the streering I do have the
wheels off the ground.
how much oil is there in the transmission? check it with engine running at idle and transmission in park when it is warm. sounds to me like it is low on oil.
