This will sound crazy but it has solved the problem more times than you would believe: give the dash board a and area around it a good wack with your fist. Often the connection to the light is what starts to fail not the bulb.

It could be a bad fuse. The clock on my dash went out on mine, and the problem turned out to be a fuse. It was draining the battery when I let the car sit for a couple weeks while I was traveling. Lexus at first claimed it was a bad battery (which was virtually new), but eventually found the bad fuse.

I have a 2001 Lexus ES300 that has been fixed way too many times. The lights Check Engine and Trac Off are now on and I am out of patience. It has approx. 110000 miles and runs otherwise great. Can't...

Hi. If you find an answer to your problem with the trac off/engine light comming on way too often, please tell me so I can get my wifes 2001 es300 fixed. The dealer claims to have replaced the computer and numerous sensors on it's many trips back to the car lot. Once, it was kept for two months with the same problem comming back after 72 hours of regular use. I found, if you disconnect the battery for app. 20 seconds, then rehook it the lights on the dash go off for about 3 days. Help!!!
