There is a know issue with this: leaving windows cracked slightly and rain getting in or installation of window tint can get door lock switch wet. "Door switches usually have corrosion at the contact points where the "plungers" make connection when pressed."
Check your door lock switches, or just replace both to be safe.
Sounds like you are getting moisture into the electrical system. Is it Fuel Injected or Carburated? Does it have a Distributor on the engine? If so, if you can get to the cap and remove it, check for moisture. If the cap can be removed and examined, try spraying some WD-40 inside the cap. Don't frown it, but just spray it around in there. That eliminates moisture.
I suggest that you look for secondary voltage leaks from the ignition system. Moisture causes dirt to become a pathway for this spark voltage. Look inside all wire connections, for any corrosion. A scope can test this, but typically a home does not have a scope...
I just solved a similar problem on my 2003 Saturn. The tail light assembly had gotten wet on a stormy night with the trunk open. There was no problem until the weather turned cold. After looking at the fuses, relays, brake switch etc. I got my trusty voltmeter out. Testing the voltage on the light blue wires in my tail light connector I found the required +12Volts for the brake lights when the brake pedal was pressed. Checking the lamp sockets I found the 12 volts was still present when the brake pedal was pressed.
The water that leaked into the bulb connectors (right and left) and spread the contacts when the water inside them froze! Blowing out the water and pushing the contacts back together solved my problem! Lesson...Keep the trunk closed when it's raining hard and dry out the bulb connectors if they get wet.
check to see if your coils are getting wet and causing the problem take a spray bottle and spray water on and around them to get an idea what is causing the problem
Rain going to inside...could be radiators, thermostat,.... air filter,.... spark plugs,...or alternator. Look like need replace. The motor doesn't like water. When you drove on downhill?
Or... its cold start? could be throttle or carby need lubricant spray. Spark plugs need new aswell or clean. For start up to quick.
i had the same problem on a diff car, it ended up being the a/c condensation running back in the car- i couldn't get it fixed- so you may want to chek that...
