On the lever that brike, you should be able to grab ahold of the wire cable with visegrips or pliers.Pull on it and your "Bonnet" or Hood should pop open.Hope this helps.

    Bentley gt bonnet release

    Pop opens the hood
Pull or push the hood release until you heard the hood pop opening whether the hood release is inside your vehicle. However, you need to look anywhere for 2013 Bentley Continental GT W12 and through the grill, carefully feel under the grill and finally behind the bumper to find a lever, arm, button or handle if the hood release is apparently at the front. And then press, pull or push it from the front to back, side to side until finally it can release the hood.
Even though the hood will just open a tiny, it will possibly be stopped by a safety catch which is a metal lever. You should release the hood when you pressed one way or other in order to open all the way. When you are driving, this gizmo accidentally avoids opening the hood.
Raise the hood fast with one hand
Feel along the station between the grill and the hood for the safety catch with the other hand. The rest of the way is to release and raise the hood.
If it is necessary, secure the hood
It is fine if the hood can stay up easily all by itself for 2013 Bentley Continental GT W12. Only if it does not like that, you should have to find a hoop prop which is a thin and long metal rod attached to the bottom edge of the opening hood or to the underside of the hood. In other words, either lift or lower the rod and fit the finishing of it into the slot which is provided to hold it.

I pull the red lever inside the car to open bonnet, but PLEASE where is the release catch behind the grill on a Mercedes E300.

The release catch should be just to left from the center in the second row down. It should spring out as you pull up on the hood. If not then it may be broken but you can use a hook tool to pull back the safety catch to open the hood.

Bonnet will not open as clip on bonnet is gone. you can pop the bonnet from under stering but cant open it with the clip. 2004 passat TDI

Depending upon how familiar you might be with the location of the under-hood release, you may be able to access it through the small opening between the hood and grill that follows opening the bonnet by pulling the lever under the steering wheel. A long narrow standard head screwdriver and a good light may be all that is required. That is exactly how the mechanic at the VW garage will release the hood latch.

If your not at all familiar with the hood latch, it might be useful to view the mechanism in another Passat so that you know how it functions. Less than a 5 minute job, but the dealer will likely charge about $65 to perform the task, substantially more to replace the broken mechanism.

1998 VW Passat hood lever location inside vehicle ?, told part of drivers side dash, is not obvious. There is a ''lever'' under centre bonnet which is in locked position. Cannot move this lever.

If you can not see the This leaver with a few good glances looking under your dash... Then it may not be there.. May be broken off..
Or If that lever that does not move, You may have to get someone to push down on the hood to take the load off the latch mechanism As you pull the leaver ..
If these do not work.. go for a drive to the nearest dealer and ask.!!

Bonnet wont open on reault laguna

There are two release catches about 15" to the right and left of the centre safety catch. Roughly at each end of the top of the radiator.

The bonnet release cable goes first to the right hand one then there is a wire from that to the left, in a daisy chain way. They are typically French, cables fit into plastic levers ( a bit like bike brakes) not metal which break easily. replacements are not cheap. You need to be able to pull the cable to both catches to get the bonnet up. I managed to do this from underneath. In my case the, left hand one was broken and right hand one was working, but the getting it open broke the bit that that pulls the left. Managed to away with buying just one new catch as they are identical, swopping the right partly broken one over to the left side.
