No there should be 2 long metal pins you pull up on top of headlight assemblies, then the headlights should pull straight out.

How do i change the driver side headlight bulb on a 2005 chevrolet equinox?

open the hood - find the 3 or 4 plastic clips that hold on the grill ( the center of the clip will pry up with a small screwdriver ) once the plastic clips are removed pull the grill towards you and gently pull on the headlight frame assembly. The grill will not come off so don't try to force it. Once you have the headlight assembly out remove the bulb that beeds replacing ( when replacing do not touch with bare skin use a rag or paper towel ) Put it all back together reversed from removing it. Hope this helps

How to remove the headlight

How to Replace a Headlight
Parts:
1. Headlight

Tools:
1. Flashlight
2. Screwdriver Set
3. 1/4 in. Drive Ratchet
4. Socket Set

Steps:
Step 1 * Open the hood and locate the headlight.
o Tip: Safety Tip:Always wear safety glasses when working on your vehicle. Wear other personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary, for example latex gloves or safety shoes.
o Tip: Always make sure the struts on the hood can fully support the weight of the hood so that it does not close on you while working. The use of a hood prop can securely hold it in place.

Step 2 * Disconnect the electrical connector from the back of the headlight or remove the headlight bulb.

Step 3 * Remove the headlight from the headlight housing by removing the headlight mounting screws or retainers.
o Tip: Depending on your vehicle, it may be necessary to remove the grille and trim to gain access to the headlight mounting screws.

Step 4 * Compare the new headlight to ensure it will be the correct fit.

Step 5 * Install the new headlight.

Step 6 * Tighten the mounting screws or install the retainers.

Step 7 * If necessary, install the grille or trim that was removed to access the mounting screws.

Step 8 * Install the headlight bulb or connect the wiring harness to the headlight.

Step 9 * Check headlight operation and adjustment. If necessary, adjust the headlight.

Hope helped with this (remember rated this post).

How to replace headlight in 1991 dodge dakota?

The grille work on these trucks is divided up to three pieces. Right, left, and center.

1. Open hood
2. Remove the two top screws in the corner grille work.
3. Remove the two lower screws in the corner grille work. (these are located right between the bumper and the grille work). Let's just say they are not easy to remove. You would be surprise how many never reinstall these screws.
4. Lift corner grille work away and you will be able to see the screws for the metal frame that surrounds the headlight remove them and replace headlight.
5. Reverse order to install.

Replacing headlight assemblies in a 1994 chevrolet silverado

it is a very easy diy job. all you have to do is take the grill off by removing the signal lights and taking 5 to 6 screws out of the grill. pull the grill out of the way making sure to unhook the marker light wires. then on your headlight assemblies, unscrew the four 10millimeter screws on each then pull the assy. away and unhook your wires. install is the reverse of removal, its really easy. good luck

Headlight assembly

Hello streets54, my name is JShreader. Thank you for choosing fixya.com.

First, you have to remove the Upper Radiator Grille. Behind the Headlamp at the top of the Front Bumper, access the lower inside hidden Headlamp Bolt. Only loosen the Bolt. DO NOT REMOVE. Now remove the 2 Headlamp Screws, then the Hidden Screw...now the Headlamp Housing should come out. I uploaded the procedure in .pdf format. You can download it by clicking HERE. I hope this helps you. If you have any more questions or need any more diagrams, please don't hesisitate to ask...Thanks again, JShreader!

Headlight installation

Hello, the Festiva headlights are very easy to replace, but you have to remove the sidemarker lamps and grill first. That is the trick to the job. I verified the procedure with my Festiva shop manual, so I am sure about it. To remove the side lamp, it has an arm in the upper left that you remove the screw from and then the screws on the outboard side of the side lamp. Once the grill is also removed, you can get to the headlamp holding bolts. Remove those. Then to get the headlamp free from the frame you need to remove the headlamp adjusting screws on the sides. Lastly, remove the wiring from the rear by turning the ring counter-clockwise. That's it. To reinstall the new one, do it in the reverse of the removal procedure. You will probably have to align the headlight beam or at least check it after installing the new headlight. It is adjusted with the headlight adjustment screws that change the angle of the headlight.
