It sounds like you have either broken the inside door release or dropped the connecting bar to the latch. If you pull the inside handle, can you see a broken tab? Check the passenger side to see if they look the same when you pull the handle. The handle is spring loaded so it will always return back to its original position even if the connecting bar to the door latch is not connected.

There is a manual release in the trunk on the left side it should be a black plastic T handle with a cord on it.

There should be retainer nuts on the inside. You would have to remove the inner door panel to access.

Either the handle broke, or the linkage rod came loose. Your only recourse is to remove the inner door trim panel to find the problem with the handle, and fix it.

It is likely that the linkage to the handle has come loose. You will need to remove the door panel to fix this problem.

NEXT SLIDE THE BACK PLATE LEFT AND RIGHT UNTIL IT POPS LOOSE AND CAN BE REMOVE.. LOOK BEHIND BACK PLATE YOU WILL FIND THE ROD THAT RUNS FROM HANDLE TO DOOR LATCH MECH,... MAKE SURE ROD IS ATTACHED TO THE HANDLE
