I have a 2006 Chevy silverado, when it's in 4 wheel drive I get a squealing noise from the front end when I get it up to about 40 MPH.

You need a might new hub internal bearing wiped out the seal goes and grease escapes and then bearing goes check for oil around both left and right hubs or check axle oil level and oil around housing

My 2002 chevy silverado locks up and won't move in 4 wheel drive

most if all problems with the chevy 4x4 at the beginning of problems are the electronics the switches they put crap in the truck and wonder why so many problems to anyone whom sees a problem at the start should first and i mean first clean all the contacts on 4x4 switches the two on the dash and then one on transfer case the one inside the dash sits where people sit drinks like coffee then it runs down dash and onto the switch inside dash you need to take it out clean it good i have fixed more 4x4 problems with doing this first you will not hear this from the dealerships they will tell you you need to replace them when all it is that they need a good cleaning i also take the switch on dash apart and clean contacts then the lights work please try contact cleaner first and more times over it will fix your problems

Lound roaring noise in the front end does it in 4 wheel drive and in two wheel drive

Sound like a front wheel bearing. If it was in the differential it would only make noise in 4 wheel drive

Squeal from rear of 2006 Chevy Silverado

You could have a bad U Joint from your drive shaft. You ca take it to any transmission shop or dealer and have them change both the front and rear U joints. Good Luck oh and when you do have them changed you can order the greasable ones, just to remember to have them greased every oil changed.
