Hello. Yes, snow tires will give you the best possible traction in winter driving conditions, better that all season. The size tire depends upon the size of your rim so go to a tire store and shop around. They will tell you what size your vehicle requires. As far as kind goes, I prefer Michelin but any brand name snow tire will work fine.

What is a good tire to buy for 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited tire size P245- 65-17R

Couple of common choices around here
If you want an All terrain that's good in the snow, rain and quiet, go with Cooper Discover AT/3 or more aggressive Goodyear Duractrac.

If you want Best MPG
Michelin Latitude tours

Tons of other great tire choices, but you didn't give us any details =(

Can i go bigger than 215-70-15 215 dont seem tall enough ? if i go to 16 inch will it effect the speedometer?

Hello, I can tell you about my 2002 Gran Marquis LSE wheels and tires. On my car which had the 16" Wheels, Mercury wanted a low rider style for all chassis, including Police cars. They used "60" Series tires and when parking mine, the front concrete curb stops would consistently allow the front bumper cover or the air dam underneath the car to hit. ( Partially from the settling of the Air Suspension.) Even snow covered roads would scrap the car bottom. I bumped my tires up to a 65 Series which seemed a good compromise and it helped. A 75 Series may do you good on 15" rims.

I started looking for taller tires to raise the body. I found a good Website in DiscountTires.com, which when you plug in different tires OR rim sizes will give you the Speedo error for a few preset speeds. The site also lists Alternative tire sizes normally used for YOUR car and Level 1, Level 2, wheel upgrades which is tire jargon known to some.

You can get some Speedos Electronically recalculated for the different tires or wheel sizes. Just make sure the new wheels need the same thickness of studs as are on your car. You need to watch the clearance at the front tires' back wheel lip and the inside of the tire by the frame.

You can ask a tire store to pull 1 tire in your size and roll out a few other sizes and stand them side by side to see the difference in height. I hope you have found my solution very helpful in making your choice.

My 2007 Nissan Sentra has terrible traction. The tires have 20 thousand miles on them.

most of the original tires on these cars aren't much good in foul weather after 15-20,000 miles, you need to replace those tires with ones with good all-weather or a true snow tire tread. I'm assuming you have been having snow.

How do i finish removing my window regulator on my 1997 mercury mountineer? it has some fasteners i am not familiar with.

these are big rivets you have to take a small punch and punch out the center pin looking thing ......then u can drill the rest of the rivets out and by the way u will need either this same rivet size which is one fourth inch and the rivets to put back together

What are the right size of tires to put on to replace the old ones

best way to tell is to look at the old ones. The size will be clearly marked on the sidewall. Also, it may have the tire size on the driver's side door jam, where the weight limitation sticker is.

Tire size please

Laura, from factory the car came with 215 x 55 x 17``tires. The actual number is printed on the sidewall.
< This means you have 17`` rims, with 215 mm tire tread width and the sidewall height of the tire is equal to 55% of the tread width. This is referred to as the tires profile...
If by chance you are shopping for snow tires you can install a complete 16`` winter wheel set , tires and rims with the same overall outer diameter as a 17`` set, because the 16 or 17 only defines the hole size in the tire ....however the sidewall height and tread width would be different on a 16``tire.

Looking for tires for my 2007 dodge grand caravan. Most 90% of my driving is around town. Need a tire that handles rain and snow and would prefer a quiet tire.

The only tire I would recommend as an all season tire would be the Goodyear Assurance Triple Tread, they're supposed to be good for light snow, summer, and winter...
