Sounds like a bad battery that will not hold a charge. If it is near or over 5 years old...replace it . check the alternator while you are at it , check for loose belts the belt tension er. Don;t rule out the starter.. If the lights come on and are bright but the vehicle will not crank..the starter my be dying and is requiring more voltage to turn and start the vehicle. Your vehicle is nearing the age where starters , alternators, and water pumps go bad.

Means you have a bad battery, unless your alternator not charging, take an ohm meter set to dc volts put on battery while engine running should be 13.1 to 14.3 volts, if within voltage bad battery if lower bad alternator

Check the battery, have a load test done on the battery, now,it could be that the battery terminals, and battery cable ends are corroded, clean them really good, shining clean, this makes a big difference.Good idea to have the alternator checked also, while on the vehicle running, with the head lights on,and high blower motor,it should read at the battery,13.65 volts,to 14.25 volts.

I have a 1995 Buick Regal with a 3.8 V6. Car will start just fine on a cold start but will not continue to run unless you hold the engine on at least 3000 rpms for about 30 seconds. it will then idle just...

i think you might be right it sounds like your engine is getting over fed fuel you are probably not getting very good fuel mileage either the 3.8 and 5.0 would defintely require the same volume of fuel it is probably playing havoc on the pressure regulators i would get another fuel pump and start there

1993 buick regal start and stall

The average life of a battery is 3 good years, regardless how BIG, or how it cost. Anything after that is a blessing. Personally, I would replace the battery ASAP, and then with a FULLY CHARGED battery. Then drive, and see if the problem still remains. Hope this helps
