IF IN COOL CLIMATE DOOR MY BE FROZEN, THE POURING WARM WATER AND THEN OPEN. ALSO, THEN IS A MANUAL OPENING CABLE/DEVICE IN TRUNK LEFT SIDE AT BOTTOM JUST ABOVE REAR WHEEL
Same issue. Neither solenoid nor manual pull cord open fuel door unless a small wedge is used to open the door if either is activated. There is NO ice or snow involved. The trip mechanism is operating freely. The door does NOT "spring" out thus I suspect the defect lies there but without an actual shop manual -- chilton and the like are totally useless in this area -- one cannot see the level of detail needed to further diagnose the problem so we are heading to the junk yard on Tuesday to investigate similar vehicles.
