I have a 2008 Honda Accord. Recently, the navigation display screen does not always appear when I start the vehicle. This happens more often after the car has been sitting overnight or for longer periods of time. All parts of the system appear to work except for the blacked out display because I can hear the typical beeping noises, etc. that are associated with it. Any thoughts on why the display does not always appear and/or how to fix it?

The DVD for the navigation is not loaded into the 6 disc changer. Push the passenger seat all the way forward and up. Get in the back seat and you can access it from there. There is a cover that might need to be popped down.

On my '06 Navigator the navigation dvd goes in a slot on the console to the left of the passenger's feet. There's a removable panel.
On a side note... does anyone have a newer dvd for Canada? The one that came with my vehicle is compile for the Quebec (*gasp*) market and is outdated.
SOURCE: how do i change the clock on a sts 2008 cadillac w/navigation sys
Had the same problem...hit CONFIG...then Vehicle on the left side...when the Vehicle screen
shows all the info on languages....hold your finger on the clock in top right corner. The clock
adjust screen should appear. I could never get the clock adjust screen because I was just
touching the time...you have to keep your finger on it until the screen comes up. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Navigation system at Yukon xl 2008 does not read the map DVD
I shipped my 2006 Yukon Denali from USA to Saudi Arabia. When I to purchase the Middle East map DVD for the navigation system. GM Navigation answered me that they do not have the middle east DVD and I should contact the European branch. The dealer in Saudi Arabia is asking for $1200 for the disc and I know it is worth no more than $400. Could you please direct me to someone who sells the 06 Denali navigation map DVD? Thanks..

Unplugging or rebooting won't solve the problem. Call Alpine Electronics. They are the manufacturer of the Navi System. They will replace it for about $160. Check their website online for their phone number.
