You will need to replace the HVAC blend door actuator, it is stuck and not allowing warm air to go through your vents. Inside this unit is a circuit board, motor and small plastic round gears. The gears then rotate the actuator, which in turn opens and closes the damper allowing the air to pass through the heater core. What happens is some of the little teeth break off creating a gap on the gear wheel. This gap prevents the gears from driving the actuator shaft. Click on the link below to view a replacement door:

Have you checked the position of the hvac door inside the heat box? those systems work on vacuum alot so it could change with engine rpm, so that might be where your problem is comin in.

Did you check the vacuum source of all heater controls inside the dash? maybe the actuating door valve has a leak due to an air line. also the selector mode switch could be bad

No heat at all coming out of the heater!!

these trucks are famous for plugged heatercores, what you do is,remove both hoses to heatercore at firewall, mark there location, next cut two peices of heater hose, about 12 inches long, slide on the heatercore where the hoses where, then use a water hose and flush in both directions a few times, then you should have heat, also if its been a while i would also have the cooling system flushed out, hope this helps. good luck.

Truck is over heating. changed thermostat. still

Hello, you may have a blockage some where in the system or possible air in the system. Double check your coolant levels, your cooling fans make sure they are coming on. Hope this is helpful.

Very little heat in cab, changed thermostat and flushed rad, little circulation in rad. heatercore?

opps clicked clarification .... -- run your engine up to operating temp . shut off engine and check your radiator by placing your hand on top - middle - and bottom, they should be the same temp , if not your radiator is plugged... (be careful not to burn yourself) .... also grab the heater hoses going through the firewall, if they are not the same temp feel you may also have a blocked heater core.
