The cigarette lighter fuse for a Chevrolet City Express LT is located in the Engine Compartment Fuse Box. The location of the fuse box varies depending on the year of the vehicle. For instance, in 2003-2007 models, the cigar lighter (power outlet) fuses are numbered 29 (Auxiliary Power Outlets) and 30 (Cigarette Lighter). In 2008-2009 models, they are numbered 33 (Auxiliary Power Outlet) and 38 (Cigarette Lighter). In 2010-2022 models, they are numbered 25 (Auxiliary Power Outlet) and 73 (Cigarette Lighter).
Located inside your standard fuse box...labeled cig/ltr may also include other functions...Your owners manual can also pinpoint which fuse controls this. Hope this helps.
Changing the fuse in the fuse box wont solve your problem On the back of the socket that is mounted in the dash that the lighter pushes into has a inline fuse that if over heated will blow. You will have to change the lighter. Toyota wanted close to $70 for a replacement lighter for my Tacoma. I never used the cigarette lighter for cigarett but needed to charge my cell phone so I replaced it with a dash Mount 12 Volt Power Socket for $10. Good luck.
check the fuse box, look for the acc fuse, others have interior fuse that concerns the radio, lights, panels, and that cigarette lighter... or maybe your cigattere lighter is busted...
In the 2006 Model the Cigarette lighter is located behind the small compartment on the drivers side dashboard left of the steering wheel. Simply lower the compartment door (Fuse box cover) and remove it to access the fuses. Jul 2010
