I had the same problem, after having the car towed to four Seasons, it was discovered that the electrical portion of the ignition switch was defective. Works like a charm. Part number 61 32 8 356 026 Hope this will help.

Check to see if you have a starter relay or solenoid this part you would have to replace.

1995 taurus won't start

The dash lights coming on doesn't mean your battery is strong enough to turn the car over. That being said, I would lean towards the starter also. I would just have the battery chkd out before you go replacing other things just to be sure. Good luck to you.

Bmw 525i wont start no starter action battery ok

rarely fail, but do.if the battery load tested out to be good . you get 12 volts to the starter signal wire when you turn the key to start. then the starter is bad or the engine or something driven by the belt is locked up.

1995 bmw 525i will not turn over, in the engine check display "oil level sensor" is coming up. If this sensor is faulty will it stop the car from running or is it just coincidental and the car...

It's coincidental. Not turning over is a battery or starter Try jump starting. Your oil sensor is sensor on side/bottom of pan and is probably sticking or wires are disconnected.

We have a 1995 BMW 525i. I need to replace some

My bmw dealer said that the Mass Air Flow Sensor needed to be replaced. The car would not run. It will start, idle. upon excelleration it chokes and dies. The "check engine" light is on. I disconnected the MAS and the car runs fantastic. SOOOO, I ordered a MAS and installed it. Reconnected the unit and the same problem occured. Is there a fuse relay under the hood or back seat that I can replace?
Thanks

I have a 1995 525I that wont turnover all I get is a clicking sound (NOT LIKE A DEAD BATTERY)I have 12 volts. the radio was changed some time ago and car ran fine. I changed the Transmission,Clutch and...

sounds like a loose connection to starter motor not allowing full power to solenoid which is where power lead connects. or if it is a second hand starter could be faulty solenoid

Have a 1995 bmw 525i and i went to statrt it one morning and the key turned in the ignition but the car would not turn over there was no spring resistance when you turn the key to the start positition

It sounds like the rod which goes from the key cylinder down to the slide switch has come loose. The rod is along the bottom side of the steering column (or insidie it). If you reattach the rod all should work again.

Where is the fuel filter in my 1995 bmw 525i

Should be under the car, drivers side, just in front of rear wheel. Make sure and release the fuel pressure slowly when you take the lines loose.
