I have a 2006 Chrysler 300C with the p1004 DTC code my car is running excellent just has the check engine light on. Can you guys please help

No fuse, it isn't a fusible item, it has no load! Where did you dream up this idea? The ding sound and the flashing light is driven by the BCM based on a simple contact in the catch.

The description for Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P1521 is "Incorrect Engine Oil Type." The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) is able to identify engine oil viscosity using oil pressure and oil temperature sensor inputs and will set this DTC if the viscosity is determined to be incorrect. Engine oil viscosity could be incorrect due to the wrong engine oil being added or oil contamination (with fuel or coolant). This code could also be set if there is a problem with the engine's internal oil pressure. Lastly, this condition could also be caused by a PCM software issue. There appear to be two software updates to address the false detection of the P1521 DTC; they are on Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) 18-008-08 and 18-035-05. If the software is already up-to-date, I would recommend starting with an oil change using oil with the correct viscosity. How/who said scorched right cylinder ? Does it still run? What symptoms do you have?

that code has something to do with the intake manifold, and its expensive,, they can do a couple of things which i s why they might have said to make an appt,, first is to update your computer in the vehicle,, second is to fix the parts in question, most people I have talked to say this is still a warranty fix on most cars due to federal emission

This from an owner with the same code, indeed it is the intake maniflod that causes the issue.
P1004 is a intakemanifold short runner valve performance. they replaced the intake manifold plenum. cost $1200, but they repaired under warranty in the interest of customer satisfaction. my base warranty is out by milage, yet they repaired it for free. now that is a great dealership. I would talk to the dealer, this is a manufactirer defect, also it may be covered under federal emission warr. 7/70,000
