Well, First is it cranking? Did it have the original key? Security? Second most vehicles have a fuel shut off in case of accident. Location is probably in trunk somerwhere on one of the wall behind carpet or possibly by right front kick panel or behind glove box.

Thats a BIG only problem. Did you ever hear it run?? Do you have the correct key? I would have a shop look at it, maybe the engines fried ,and that why you dont buy cars at an auction unless you know what you are doing.

2009 Chevy Malibu 3.6. Thermostat housing torque spec please.

Question turned around for clarity.
Question moved to model category.

Probably the same as Impala?

https://www.justanswer.com/chevy/7fo9e-chevrolet-impala-lt-need-torque-thermostat-housing.html

I just learned that there was revised torque specs for this engine. I missed that bulletin

current specs,
89 inch lbs or 7.4 ft lbs.

Best idea is tight and a little bit more.

How to program keyless entry remote for 2009 chevy malibu

Unfortunately your 2009 Chevy Malibu key fob does not have any self programming procedures. You have to have a professional program this key fob to your vehicle. I do have a couple money saving tips for you:

1) Purchase your Malibu key fob online at https://www.keylessentryremotefob.com/Chevrolet-Malibu-Remotes-and-Keys-s/3733.htm

2) Call a locksmith for programming. They are usually more affordable and they come to you.

My 2004 chevy malibu classic 4 cyl wont start its

There are four things required for an engine to run: air, fuel, compression and properly timed spark. If you have fuel and timed spark, the only two variables are air and compression. Air is not the likely problem, and compression should be good unless you blew a head gasket or the rings in all four cylinders. How did you determine that you have fuel and spark? Those are the two most likely problem areas.

Repairs in need

Consider calling any high schools in your area to see if they have an automotive shop with body work capabilities. It only costs the time to make a few calls and could save you a good bit of money.
