Just bought a chevy malibu 2009 lt1 from the auction. it was in a minor accident but is still in good condition the only problem is that it doesnt start. help please
Well, First is it cranking? Did it have the original key? Security? Second most vehicles have a fuel shut off in case of accident. Location is probably in trunk somerwhere on one of the wall behind carpet or possibly by right front kick panel or behind glove box.Well, First is it cranking? Did it have the original key? Security? Thats a BIG only problem. Did you ever hear it run?? Do you have the correct key? I would have a shop look at it, maybe the engines fried ,and that why you dont buy cars at an auction unless you know what you are doing.

Unfortunately your 2009 Chevy Malibu key fob does not have any self programming procedures. You have to have a professional program this key fob to your vehicle. I do have a couple money saving tips for you:
There are four things required for an engine to run: air, fuel, compression and properly timed spark. If you have fuel and timed spark, the only two variables are air and compression. Air is not the likely problem, and compression should be good unless you blew a head gasket or the rings in all four cylinders. How did you determine that you have fuel and spark? Those are the two most likely problem areas.
i have a 1996 chevy caprice LT1 that wont start due to hurricane sandy the water line of the car was half of the bottom pully which i think the starter got wet when i returned back to the car i turned the key it didnt turn over but i had power is there any solutions please help
Consider calling any high schools in your area to see if they have an automotive shop with body work capabilities.
It only costs the time to make a few calls and could save you a good bit of money.
