I believe its fuse #19 or 21 for the 4wd but may be under the interior or accessory lights i would check all the fuses 1st with a test light to ensure both ends are getting power and that they are properly seated into position then ...start tracing for power to the switch itself it merely pops out from either side with a small Flathead screwdriver and check for power there as well they are just wires and indicate the bulbs may have burned out indicating also a bad switch but check for power 1st and proper seating of the fuses
if 4 wd is not present it could be either vacuum or cable from under the battery tray or the encoder motor or the wires to the sensor have come rusted or ? corroded broken etc somehow and a visual inspection is necessary to determine the exact cause look up on top of the front drivers side axle housing for open wires etc check all the wires and especially the vacuum lines for wear /// cracks / dryrot / missing or disconnected to begin
try disconnecting the fuse for the 4wd for a few minutes this sometimes will fix minor issues related
also on the passengers side kick-panel there is a box behind it remove the kick panel to see if the wires are not corroded and rusty as they are known for water getting in and causing problems .
thanks
