My 2000 maxima has been put on a comp tester - but

My 2000 maxima has been put on a comp tester by my local mechanic - but no codes are identified - he has also gone and used other facilities computers with the same result - the car is very hesitant after a cold start - of late the problem has even expanded -eg after running ten or so minutes even on flat terrain the car will change it own rpm by 1000 or so revs and hesitate

2000 maxima wont start after changing MAF, the parts store run a diagnostic and it was the MAF, it ran but wouldnt idle Ive put two new MAF and all it does is turn over but wont start

It is not the maf. What is the actual trouble code in the computer? The parts store guys are not mechanics, but they'll sell you lots of parts before your car is working again.

Code 0400 on 2000 maxima, says EGR valve, can it be cleaned or do i need to replace to get check engine light off?

it can be cleaned but if you take it to a shop they will say they want to replace it with a new one. do your research on your local shops to be sure they will clean it.

Maxima 1995 30g auto v6 3000 engine cranking but not starting starter motor ok ring gear ok could it be a fuse or relay

Hi,

Do not replace anything, until you have your vehicle's diagnostic codes (OBD) read.

It's possible the crank or camshaft sensor faulty, but your on board diagnostic computer will identify the likely cause.

Your local dealership (or authorised agent who has proper scan tool) will be able to read the codes for you and will not take more than 15 mins.

renew the O2 sensors to start with and just hope that its a bad sensor on this bank they can break down prematurely .Luck of the draw their when buying new parts iam afraid your not the only one to buy new parts and have them go early .

Engine light has been turned off repeatedly by local mechanic but keeps coming back on. Car has 142,000 miles and needs to be inspected, but won't pass inspection with engine light on

Check Lights have been on vehicles for 25 to 30 years.
You don't clear or turn off, until you retrieve codes and repair the issues that set the lamp.
Your vehicle isn't being diagnosed and repaired

What causes a car not accelerate properly

I know common issues for the the 2000 Maximawas the Mass Air Flow sensor and the coils. I think both of them triggered a Service Engine Soon light.

My 2002 Maxima has had no issues yet (only 70k miles, unlike the 180k on the 2000).
