My 2000 Mitsubishi Galant was turning over but will not start. I replaced the fuel pump and still nothing, i started right after i installed the pump but then shortly stalled. What should i do?

YOU NEED A LITTLE TUNE UP.REPLACE FUEL FILTER, REPLACE AIR FILTER,CLEAN FUEL INJECTORS.REPLACE SPARK PLUGS AND WIRES.IF ENGINE STILL SHAKE YOU COULD HAVE FUEL PUMP OR FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR PROBLEMS.
It is not an O2 sensor. something is shutting down the spark or the fuel, i would exhaust all possibilities with fuel starvation first. have the fuel pressure tested before you go and replace the fuel pump.
PROPERLY RELIEVE THE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE.TURN OFF RADIO.DISCONNECT NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE.REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION BY PULLING THE SEAT STOPPER OUTWARD AND LIFTING THE LOWER CUSHION UPWARD.REMOVE ACCESS COVER.REMOVE FUEL PUMP WIRING.REMOVE THE RETURN HOSE AND THE HIGH PRESSURE FUEL HOSE.REMOVE FUEL PUMP MOUNTING NUTS AND REMOVE THE PUMP ASSEMBLY.INSTALL FUEL PUMP ASSEMBLY TO FUEL TANK.TORQUE PUMP RETAINING BOLTS 22 INCH POUNDS.
most likely wiring issues check for power at fuel pump sending unit while trying to start car i think you will find a corroded wire or bad connection somewhere right near fuel pump
Start with the old addage, "Give it fuel, Give it fire, and you will get what you desire." Check your fuel rail under the hood, it should have a valve almost like where you add air to a tire. Press the pin, fuel should shoot out of there. If not, its a fuel problem then you just trace it back down the line. Could be a fuel filter? Next, check your spark. See if your getting any to the plugs, if no, start tracing it back. Also, you didn't say if you recently replaced plugs and wires. If there are plug wires, which there should be, make sure they are connected to the right plug. If not your firing order won't be even close, so thats a no start. Check your fuel injection relay under the hood if you have one. Make sure it is working. This relay gives the fuel injectors their power. Basically, check anything that you need to make an engine run but start with the most basic first. Could be a bad MAF Sensor too. Also, don't rule out something crazy like a Crankshaft position sensor. There are ways to back probe all the sensors with a test light just look around online and find out what sensors you have and how to test them.
sounds like a fuel pump have fuel pressure checked or sometimes you can pinch off the return line and that will let you know for sure but im pretty sure it is a fuel pump problem
