does your unlock button work in car? If it does, do you have another keyless entry key fob? If so does it work? If you just replaced the battery you can try removing battery and cleaning contacts within remote. I know some of the nissan altimas had the same issue and the only solution was a new key fob. Good Luck
The keyless entry may be the control or thee module may have gone bad,the digtal display is a coomon problem the board goes bad and some connections on the display board are bad you will need to replace the cluster to solve this problem.
There is a technical service bulletin out on this probelm on 2004/2005 F150. ISSUE:
Some 2004-2005 F-150 vehicles built through 2/7/2005, may exhibit an inoperative keyless entry keypad. This may be due to the vehicle security module (VSM) not being configured to accept keyless entry keypad input.
The fix is to reprogam the vehicle security module with as-built data. So it would have to go to the dealer to do this.
The tsb number is 05-5-5.
Lock all the doors from the inside (with all the doors closed), unlock your driver's door by manually lifting the lock, then press it back down after you are out - this will prevent the alarm from sounding when you use the key to unlock the door.
