Go to a place with compressed air and blow VERY EASY on both the hose off the reservoir and then back through the washers on the windshield outputs, but NOT too hard of air pressure so you don't split hoses or blow them off

Testimonial: "Thank you very much! Your suggestion was very helpful. Everything is in working order now."

I just used a bike pump worked great

  • nestworks Feb 13, 2010

remove the little tubes that run from washer reserveve to wiper blade arm. and clean out by blowing air through it with by using a new mouth straw over it (bike pump works too if no straw)

Windshield sprayer won't work on LR3

Check the fuse first - replace if blown
If that does not fix it, pull the tubes off the spray outlets in the hood to see if fluid come out of the hoses when the switch is used, If it does, the problem will be blocked jets - probably with wax.
If nothing comes out of the tubes, you have a failed washer pump OR a fault in the wiring. The latter can be checked with a probe or multimeter. There should be 12+ volts on the positive side. Also check the ground wire with the ohmeter - a common fault

Windshield wiper pump will not spray. Wipes work but not when the spray trigger is pulled. How can I replace or troubleshoot the motor?

The motor is most likely in the wiper fluid reservoir. Remove reservoir and disconnect motor, supply 12 volts to the motor if it's ok it should spin, spraying fluid every where. DC motors immersed in fluid don't alway last. Replace motor if it does nothing.

Windshield wipers won't work after removing battery to get to the windshield wiper pump that squirts fluid to clean windshield

Sometimes disconnecting the battery does more damage then you want it might have trip a fuse or relay check those if thats not it, maybe wiper motor or transmission went out.

I have a 20063 Kia Sportage that was recently serviced. Since I got it back I also moved out of state and noticed that when I tried to spray my windshield wiper fluid I could hear the motor but nothing...

You are on the problem from what I read. The fluid goes from the tank, through the motor you hear, and out through small tubing to the "nozzles" that spray your windshield. I'm sure one end fell off, but you will have to search it down. Follow the hose if you can, as you may have to move some covers or parts, but look close and you may see the problem.

Windshield fluid doesn't come out

check windshield wiper pump, if the pump coming on, then take the hose off coming out of the reservoir, try the pump and see if fluid comes out, if it does then the hose is clog, remove the hose from the spray nipple on the hood and blow it out

Windshield washer fluid not spraying

Try standing outside of the vehicle and having someone press the "juice" button and listen to see if the motor is trying to spray. If it is....check to to see if you have contaminents in the windshield wiper fluid reservoir.
