www.cargurus.com > Questions > GMC > Sierra C/K 1500 CarGurusJan 31, 2010 - i have a 94 k1500 sierra, the brake light is on and my front brakes are locking up. ... at a set speed (say 70) and gently let off the accelerator it bucks one time. ... the truck will start up most time fine with a little gas, after about 30 .
Yup and it won't work till you get the check engine light fixed, what ever is causing that to come on.,it is a safety feature if there is a service vech. soon light on the remote start does not work !
This problem seems to be the ECM (computer) to have so many things acting up at the same time. Did it all start at the same time? Its possible that you can reset the ECM by removing the hot and ground cables, wait about 15 minutes and then replace them, may fix the problem, may only temporarily fix the problem if the ecm is bad or something is setting a code to cause this. It sounds as if it is running in limp mode. Have it tested at the nearest parts store. They should be able to decipher the problem.
have you checked for a box under the hood on the drivers side, consisting of relays and fuses. i would check for a brake light relay switch, or brake light fuse, hope that this information has been helpful to you.
This could be a number of things, that is why it is a good idea to have the engine codes read which many part stores offer for free. The service engine light will go off if there is vaccum leaks, faulty sensors or circuits, or any electrical problems
