The drivers door sometimes won't open from the inside. If I turn the ignition to put battery on it will work again usually or sometimes if I put the window down but otherwise I have to reach out and open it from the outside. This doesn't happen every time but is an annoying intermittent fault and wondering if there is an easy solution.
The latch behind the door panal is faulty

Sorry I see that it is a Jetta, the window has 2 tabs that are glued to the bottom of the glass these will likely need to be rebonded.

Did you check the oil cooling filter...??? , that's the only thing I'd imagine , otherwise you may have a very small leak on the engine gaskets...

Mine is doing the exact same.
Have two solutions, will try it later today:
1. Unlock with remote tnen lock with key and then unlock with key.
2. Might be a power problem, check that batery is good.
