I have a 2000 VW Beetle and the door won't shut completely. It doesn't click shut. I have been able to shut it sometimes from the inside but I can't from the outside. Now I can't shut from the outside or the inside. What can I do? It seems like it should be a simple problem!

There is 2 parts to your door latch. The first is the latch itself, the second is called the " strike" The strike may be out of alignment or the latch is bent or broken, and will have to be replaced.

Hopefully it is simple, sounds like the door latch assem.--or the "catch" is either broken or out of position

Where are the fuses to unlock the and windows in a vw beetle2000

The fuse block that contains the window fuses is located at the left side of the dash board. Open the door and remove the cover. There should be a diagram in your owners manual, and may be one on the inside of the cover.

Where do I get a 2000 vw beetle manual window crank

Now you can get whatever parts you desire and even more at low costs along with warranty from VW Beetle Stuff

These are 100% OEM genuine used parts which are scrutinized and put up for sale at a much lower cost than brand new.

VW Passat sport 2000. Wipers have stopped is it a fuse and where would i find it please.Washer is ok

Posted as a 2000 VW Beetle, but the fuse panel should be located on the side of the dash just inside the driver's door. There should also be a fiuse diagram on the fuse door panel, as well as in the back of the Owner's Manual.

VW 2000 New Beetle door sensor/car alarm goes off when doors open.

I found a thread - http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=1542461 that details the repair of the soldering on the key lock door module. Our 2000 new beetle had the same issue. Also sometimes it refused to start. Soldering pins fixed it all.

Also see http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=1015107 for releasing window from track, And door handle from inner panel.

I ripped the door apart and re-solderd the pins. I only had one pin with cracked solder but two others looked thin so I did them while I was in there. It's about a four or five hour project if you have all the tools. (8mm triple square also called an 8mm internal was the hardest to find - Also needed Torx T8 T10 T15 and T30 plus Philips Screw Driver. )
Project is difficult but not too bad for the mechanically inclined. A 7 on a scale of 10.
Since re-soldering pins - no more issues! My guess is that a VW dealer would get $200 for a new moduel plus 5 hours of service time for this gig - easily a $500 to $1000 bill. My cost - several new tools - about $25.00.
