SOURCE: blowing ignition a fuse

I believe you mean a 40 amp fuse? Wow! that's a dead short somewhere on a large wire. Could be difficult, or hopefully easy to find. There's always the smoke test option: Solder a jumper wire across the top of the fuse, making the circuit essentially un-fused and look for the smoke. Not the best method, but quick. Warning: if you do this, depending on where the short is, you could melt down the wire harness or possibly start a fire. Try this at your own risk! IT'S A "LAST RESORT" THING, WHEN YOU'VE TRIED EVERYTHING ELSE AND FAILED! Good luck.

SOURCE: Fuel Pressure Regulator.

if it has the central fuel injection, the regulator is on the metering
body under the intake pletium. auto parts gets about $45 dollars for it. you also need to replace gaskets as well.

SOURCE: 1997 astro 4.3 vortec v6 fuel pressure problem.

If you don't have at least 51 psi you need a new fuel pump. I had a Bravada that even after I replaced the fuel pump from the factory it only had about 45 PSI. I didn't know at the time that the vortec needs at least 51psi, so I replace the injector spider. That item cost 500. It still would not start and it turned out to be the new fuel pump from the dealer that was no good. I am pretty sure that the regulator is built into the fuel pump on the vortec. or built into the injector spider, but the pressure you are reading at the gage tell me you need the pump.

Hope this helps.

SOURCE: 1992 CHEVROLET ASTRO van no heat?

Since your blower is working and it is a heat issue, thats where we'll start,First thing is have you checked the coolant level in the radiator when engine is cold, make sure it is filled to top, next verify you have coolant in reserve ,Start your van and get it up to normal operation temperature,If your heat gauge on the dash works correctly it should be 190 degrees,Now lift the hood and locate the two heater hoses going into the heater assembly at the fire wall,Both hoses should be hot to hold on to,if both are hot and no heat inside your problem will be the blend air door in heater assembly.
if neither hose is that hot you need to replace the thermostat in the engine to get it up to 195 degrees.
if one hose is hot and one is luke warm then the heater core is blocked and to blame. hope this helps you.

You could try turning the key on an off a few times (without trying to start it ) to pressure up the fuel lines. There is a check valve in fuel pump module inside the fuel tank that is suppose to keep fuel in the lines an fuel injector rail. It's probably bad.

I have a new battery. i have changed the fuel

I'm guessing you checked the fuses already, so if you have spark at the plugs, look for a vacuum leak. If you still suspect the fuel pump, do a fuel pressure test.

Fuel pump does always run on 2000 astro van. Replaced fuel pump and inline filter. Took forever to start and then ran great. The next day it wouldn't start.

I would recheck fuel pressure and see if there was a hose or something let go inside the tank . indicated by no pressure, possibly a faulty pump I've seen new ones **** out, also these vans with the 4.3 were bad for having weak coil wires and shorting out against the inside of the engine cover ( doghouse) good luck.

1996 astro van stopped running

Sounds like dirty gas and the fuel filter is clogged...try changing the fuel filter...some are under the car, but most are mounted against the firewall in the engine compartment.
