I had this problem. Twice! It sounded like it wanted to turn over but couldn't. Your engine may be flooded. I had to have mine towed to the mazda dealer (if under 100,000 miles it is under warrenty) so they could fix it. The second time they had to replace my engine because of a bad compression ring.

2004 Mazda RX-8. How do I fix my car and could you send a engine manual for my 2004 rx8.

Question edited for full 'year make model' in that order.
Question moved to correct category.

Service manual in the link, but for your electrical problem, you will need a mobile auto electrician with a pro grade scan tool computer to diagnose the issue.

My 2004 rx8 developed a slow start and when i start the engine it will never move, after pushing the gas peddle engine stops?

Have a compression done as the early motor has problems with the quality of the apex seals . IN rotary motors if it seems to wind over for ever then the compression is too low to fire the mixture.. A good engine will start in 6 revolutions of the crank shaft.

Changed battery in rain have lights engine turns over but no fire

The rx8 has the rotary ankles engine in it, these have porcelain tipped rotors instead of pistols and are prone to wear resulting in them not starting. The car should start with a bump or toe start. This will require an engine strip down and rebuild and should only be carried out by a qualified mechanic. (Mazda recommend rotors be replaced every 25000 miles)

Let me know if this helps

Hi to all ihave mazda rx8 2005 model and it start

you have a big issue the cyclinder is firing due to a timing issue. You will need to check if the timing belt, the ignition system is aligned to accurate settings. use a strobe to check for timing result according to the manufacturers setting.Or else you will need to check for defects in valve/cam settings.
