Cant find there trunk release button or switch for my 1998 chevy cavalier. I just need to know where the lever/button is located in the cab. I feel silly asking this but my last car was on the floor on the left side of the driver seat.

fuses do not make a grinding sound. You will need to open trunk and inspect/replace trunk release

A trunk release button is not included in most Cavalliers. The cavalier came standard with electronic trunk release from the keyless entry keyring. Otherwise you need to use the key.

Make sure there is power coming to that line (switch) if no power trace back or simply ad new power line from the fuse box.

The trunk release button should be located in the glove box. mine is a yellow button and yours should be too.

My 91 has a button located to the left of the gear shift (center console). It's an electric control that, when pushed, opens the trunk.

either located on the rear quarter panel behind the trunk interior cover or between the two rear speakers in the trunk area

the release cords are located inside the trunk, try popping out the back seat, you will see the gold, 14mm(?) bolts holding the seats in, maybe you can get in by taking the back of the seat out, good luck

i used a screw where the other one broke off to hold it in place, it needs to be a short one like a tek screw if you know what that is just drill it out first so the screw does'nt snap the plastic

oppen glove box , the button is there. get window button from wrecker. and yes they last very long. Vitally
